nude nails

last year i developed an affinity for neutral colored nail polish. while ive always preferred dark colors, flesh toned & nude lacquers have been my go to colors as of late. while i was never a fan as i found most neutral colors to be on the sheerer side, lately more collections have been coming out with neutral shades that are opaque after 2-3 coats! delicate pinks, creamy beiges, pale peaches, caramel, & cappuccino colors if found in the right shade can look great on just about anyone. i love the look of nicely filed short to medium length nails polished with a glossy neutral color. clean, simple, & chic!

revlon lip butters

i can't recall the last time i bought drug store make-up or any make-up for that matter. being a make-up addict since i was young, collecting make-up since high school, & 3 years of working for MAC..i think its safe to say that im pretty much set for the rest of my life (though keeping in mind shelf life)! i have to really really really be impressed with a product to think about purchasing it & even then i usually talk myself out of it since i have way to much make-up. i shop within my stash & love discovering forgotten items.

after hearing so many raves & looking at swatches online i decided to check out the revlon lip butters. particularly because lollipop seemed to be a duplicate to a MAC slim shine lipstick that i loved & have been using very sparingly because it's both a limited edition & slim shines are discontinued. it turns out lollipop was an exact duplicate so i was quite happy to know that i don't have to reserve my favorite sheer hot pink lipstick for just special occasions. also, my local drug store was having a buy one, get the other revlon product for 50%..so i figured id live on the edge this one time.

overall, i like the lip butters. their moisturizing & creamy. the opacity varies depending on the shade with a few being just as opaque as lipstick! im happy i was able to find a duplicate for my beloved lipstick with a much friendlier price point to my wallet.

hello world

as with all good things.. some must come to an end. i will soon be closing the door to my little space on this massive internet land that documented nursing school memories, food & cooking adventures, journey towards walking stronger on a spiritual path, and random miscellaneous thoughts. for five years it was my home but as i enter a new phase in my life it's now time to leave & start fresh elsewhere.

let's catch-up & go out for tea. :)
